Vintage Marx Johnny West 1965-74 Figure Set - Fantasy Boxed

Description: Hello & Thanks for looking at my auctions.. You are looking at a : 1965-74 Marx Johnny West - The Movable Cowboy - Best of the West - Figure set in a Fantasy Fort Apache Pioneers Box. He is 100% complete with all 24 of 24 Original Equipment Pieces. He comes With a Reproduction Fantasy Box + Reproduction Equipment Manual Paperwork and Reproduction JWA Full Color collector poster. He is in Great shape. The figure is a post-1970 Johnny West figure. All the Joints and Springs are Tight & Clean with some here & there hair-loss. Like these figures usually do have with play and age. His joints work and bend and move what little I moved them. I didn't force the issue on any of his joints to the extreme but, I did bend & Move all of them and the articulation worked with what little I bent him. The brown poly-plastic figures are very brittle and seems to be getting harder & harder to find figures that aren't in need of something to replace to make whole again. He has No broken limbs or joints and the overall figure is very nice & clean.. with the exception a small groin crack on his left side at the hip joint in the front straddle. You can see it in the pics provided. The back is Ok with no cracks and his leg moves well at the hip joint. Also see pics of his backside. He has All of his Tan/Brown colored Soft-Vinyl pieces and All of the Brown Poly-plastic pieces. He Stands on his own very well, but it would be BEST & Smart to use a figure stand with him if you were to plan on displaying him. All Pieces are in Great shape. The Chaps are great shape as well. They have all the locking straps with all the feathered tassel ends and the locking balls that go thru the holes in the chaps to lock them onto his legs. The buckle works well and locks together nicely. The spurs & boot straps are complete and in Great shape. You can see all this in the pics provided.. All equipment pieces are Original factory USA MARX. The equipment manual is an Reproduction BOTW equipment manual as well as the JWA color poster. They have No Tears, Writings or Markings on either. You can see that condition in the photos provided. The box is a Reproduction Fort Apache Fighters "Fantasy" box. It is new and purchased from Stewart's Attic a fellow Marx dealer & collector from Florida. It is nice and clean with no marks or holes and Very Nicely Made.. As for the figure set, Given it's age and the fact that he was a toy that was after all meant to be played with and is over 50 years old, he and his equipment are in great shape. If you need a Johnny for your collection then I think you will be Ok with this one. Just as long as you are only planning on displaying him. The Original Johnny's has well as the other Brown/Tan Poly-Plastic Marx figures are starting to dry up lately because of the brittleness of the plastic..( Just look around Ebay, seems like 75% of them lately are Broken figures or have had reproduction pieces added to them ).
