Description: Vintage Emerson Model 587 Series B white bakelite AM radio that is in good working condition. The radio is able to receive stations on the AM band with minimal background noise and the volume is strong. Both knobs turn smoothly and properly and the dial indicator functions properly as well. The power cord is also in excellent condition. The bakelite body does have a significant crack on the left side, but the radio can be displayed well on a shelf or used for parts. The top of the radio also has some light brown ripples in the bakelite, which I believe to be original to the piece. To keep the body shining and looking great apply Novus Plastic polish on it regularly. The rear cardboard panel is original. Great looking radio that will be a fine addition to your collection.
