Description: Vintage Merri Lei 1950s HALLOWEEN Hat, Elastic Strap, ARCHED BLACK CAT, #9 Click images to enlarge Description VINTAGE HALLOWEEN PARTY HAT Adorable vintage Halloween oval shape party hat measuring 7" tall, and about 5-1/2" wide. Made by simply rolling diecut, scalloped edge cardboard into a hat form and stapling the seam, it is complete with elastic chin strap and was meant to sit on top of the head. A die cut arched black cat and grinning Jack O'Lantern pumpkin are stapled to the front. Condition is very nice with no damage other than a 1/4" tear between one scallop - cardboard is crisp - just a hint of scuffing, rubbing and wear to the scalloped top and bottom edge from stacking. Faintly embossed with the maker's name MERRILEI, N.Y. PATENT PENDING. This little cutie looks great seated on the top of a large Jack O'Lantern pumpkin candy container!
