Description: Gorgeous Olinala Mexican folk art with amazing detail in this lacquer workMade by hand with the technique of "empty scratching" on wood and with vegetable paints, it consists of drawing by making incisions in the lacquer or rayado (scratching) with the tip of a maguey or huizache thorn and desdibujo (inverse drawing). This piece has amazing detail. It is a great piece that represent the air, the sea and the land with various animals all around; birds, fish and rabbits, it also has floral motifs. Condition is GOOD, unfortunately the tray has some parts of the lacquer have peeled of and have been covered with black ink but is noticeable, especially up close. Sold as is! (See Pics).
