Description: Vintage Paden City Pottery “Provincial” Pattern Complete 20-Piece Set For Four This beautiful Paden City Pottery 20-piece set for four is in their “Provincial” pattern, which was manufactured in Paden City, West Virginia in the early 1950s. The stylized design is crisp and clean over glossy white that blends into a creamy, butter-colored edge. The sweet rooster crows happily on a barrel filled and surrounded by greens and flowers. This complete set includes 4 dinner plates, 4 salad/dessert plates, 4 cups, 4 saucers, and 4 cereal/soup bowls, and all together, weighs just shy of 11 pounds. The dinner plates have a 1” rise and a 10” diameter, the salad/dessert plates have a ½” rise and a 6 3/8” diameter, the cups are 2” high, 5” across the handle, have a 3 7/8” diameter at the mouth, and a 4 ounce capacity, the saucers have a 5/8” rise and a 6” diameter, and the bowls are 1 ½” high, have a 6 1/8” diameter at the mouth and a 3 3/8” diameter at the base. This set is in beautiful vintage condition, but one cup has a chip on the edge and some imperfections in the glaze on the inside, and one bowl has an irregular mark in the glaze at the edge. This bright, charming set will make you smile every time you use it, and is equally at home on any retro or modern table.
