Description: The fine item you are considering is a Vintage Penn Los Angeles California Tenor Saxophone Needs Work. This high quality tenor saxophone from Penn Los Angeles California is in overall nice vintage shape, but it will need some work, as the small arm that moves the valve on top of the neck has been poorly soldered and is now busted off (I have the arm) and a couple of braces have pulled off in areas. The horn otherwise shows typical finish wear and some light denting, none of which is bad. As with all vintage horns, I can’t guarantee the condition of the pads. The original tweed case is included as is a “Coast” mouthpiece. The horn measures 32” long overall and the serial number on the body (43983) does match the serial number on the neck. A kind eBayer has written and says this is a Martin Indiana model, from around 1952. Please see my photos to have a look at this nice item.
