Description: Vintage Pigeon Forge Pottery Honeymoon Bears. Rare black & natural Honeymoon Bears. On the base they are marked, "Pigeon Forge Pottery/Tenn." The founder of Pigeon Forge, the late Mr. Douglas Ferguson, was interviewed for Antiques and Collecting Magazine's Feb, 1998 issue. He stated that the pottery only produced “the bears with black faces for two or three years in the early 1970’s”...so relatively few were produced. These lovers measures 5.5” tall, 4.25” wide and weighs 14.8 ounces. A beautiful gift for a newlywed couple... No noted flaws including chips, cracks or breaks. Condition is “Used”.
