Description: Vintage ROMILLA BATRA Porcelain Art Sculpture 9” Tall Chalice Sculpture Romilla Batra is known for porcelain works that are primarily hand built in press molds and inlaid with porcelain colored with oxides. Her work includes both functional and non-functional forms that represent her personal experiences with the natural environment, particularly the landscape in the Bay Area (CA). After the first firing, the pieces are finished with a painted oxide on the exterior, partially removed with a sponge.The interiors of the pots washed with a clear glaze and, then, reduction fired.
