Description: Vintage Shakespeare Wonderod Fly Fishing Rod FYD-120 8’6” This is a vintage Shakespeare Wonderod fly fishing rod. Model FD-120. The rod is 8’6” in length and weighs 4.7 oz. Standard Taper design for universal use. Rod will handle a 6-weight fly line. Rod has a 4” black and blue tint anodized aluminum sliding hood ring locking fly reel seat. 7” cigar shaped specie cork grip with an aluminum winding check. The stainless steel hookeeper is an addition to the rod. Stainless steel stripper guide (new/old stock) six (6) stainless steel snake guides and a gun blue (new) tip top. One additional snake guide was added to improve rod performance. Nickeled brass rolled and welted ferrules. Blade is Wonderod white with teal blue Gudebrod nylon guide winds and black nylon extensions. Specie cork has been cleaned and reconditioned. Rod is finished with a premium grade of glass rod varnish. Comes with each section packed in a clear plastic rod sleeves enclosed in a brown fiber rod storage tube with plastic end caps. All will ship well protected and insured.
