Description: Vintage Souvenir Wall Plate for Chimney Rock NC Sonsco 8.25” Pierced Gilded. Featured here is a one-of-a-kind find, a commemorative souvenir plate for Chimney Rock, a large granite outcropping in the mountains of North Carolina. A popular state park, this plate has an intricate illustration of the rock formation above Lake Lure with its American flag atop. Around the edge of the plate are sophisticated fleur-de-lis leaving piercings throughout the porcelain. Their tips are gilded as well. The plate was crafted by Sonsco of Japan and imported. It has two holes in the back of the plate's ridge for a string to hang it. It’s in good condition, with some very mild wear - but no chips or cracks. See pictures for closer detail.
