Description: Pre-Owned Wakmann 37mm Chronograph with Valjoux 7734, Black Dial, Mesh stainless band, This vintage (1960’s) Wakmann panda racing chronograph is in very nice shape. Wakmann was a US based watch maker with the rights to import Breitling watches under the Wakmann brand name. This watch is nearly identical to the much more expensive Breitling Datora 592. This Wakmann Chronograph houses the Valjoux 7734 movement with date at 6 o’clock, 45 minute sub-dial and red chronograph center hand, which starts, stops and resets correctly. The case and pushers show some minor scratches as expected with age, but no significant wear on the finish or corrosion. . The black dial is very good, with a sharply defined tachymeter scale on the perimeter. The hands, markers are very good... the crystal has surface scratches but the dial is easily viewed. The case measures 37mm in diameter without the crown and is attached to a vintage mesh deploy bandThis Wakmann is a wonderful period example of once modern styling but subtle and classy alike. The classic Valjoux 7734 movement is a benchmark in vintage chronograph movements, one that is well-known for its longevity and performance. .
