Description: This is a very nice lot of six (6) original vintage Wonder Books. In order of age we have: 1) The Make Believe Parade by Jan Margo. Wonder Books #520 from 1949. 2) The Brave Little Steam Shovel by Alf Evers. #555 from 1951. 3) Adventures From The Original Alice In Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. #574 from 1951. 4) Little Peter Cottontail by Thornton Burgess. #641 from 1956. 5) Nine Rabbits And Another by Miriam Clark Potter. #345 from 1957. 6) A Visit To The Hospital by Francine Chase. #690 from 1958. These were a mix of my Moms and Dads as children and in my family since. In really amazing condition for 60 to 70 year old books. Spines are straight and strong, all pages are firmly attached, there is no writing anywhere, there are no torn pages, front and rear covers have bright colors. Nine Rabbits And Another does have a 3/8" x 1/2" piece missing from the top of the rear cover (see photo 12), but the remainder have standard shelf wear for books of this age, with light scuffing and minor corner rounding. In my family for decades and now ready to entertain a new generation or join your collection! The photos are of the very book lot you are bidding on, not a "similar" item.
