Vintage Woolrich heavy-duty wool hunting coat sz 46 (1950s era) Made in USA

Description: Vintage Woolrich plaid hunting coat in good condition. This iconic wool coat shows typical wear and needs a little TLC. However, I carefully inspected item and am very confident that it will look fantastic once it is cleaned. Based on the tag design, coat dates from the late 1940s to 1950s (estimate). This size 46 (men's) coat features a heavy wool shell and a thinner, felt-like lining. Inside the outer wool sleeve cuffs are additional elastic cuffs. Wool shell is largely intact and in good condition. I found two tears in the wool shell on either end of the large buttoned opening on right side (see pics). One tear is approx 1" long x 3/4" long and the other is less than 1/4" long. I did not find any other tears or holes in coat. Coat is also missing a couple buttons (large left flank pocket & right sleeve cuff). Coat is moderately dusty and has some minor surface marks scattered about-especially at ends of cuffs, shoulder areas, and back of collar. It appears that coat was used for hunting and outdoor activities (as designed). I didn't see any heavy staining or stains that appear to be permanent (like oils, etc). I can't promise that all soiling will be completely eliminated upon cleaning, but I do think coat will cleanup very nicely. Coat is free of foul odors (no mold/mildew/pet/smoke odors etc). No moth damage or mothball smell. Item was stored in a barn closet and has an earthy, dusty smell (not unpleasant, but not "April Fresh" either). Coat is guaranteed to arrive in described condition.
