Side panels in excellent condition, no peeling or shrinkage. Cabinet has a few light scuffs on the top surface. Please see photos for details. Comes with original power cord, log book, and a reprint of the user manual. Dial and chart lights work. Battery box is clean. Antenna in perfect condition. Refurbishing process consists of the following items:Completely disassemble and clean the cabinet.Repair the broken internal dial window tabs. All D7000 radios have this problem where the internal metal tabs break off and float around inside the cabinet.Replace all 12 of the failure prone electrolytic caps with modern equivalent or better ratings. Absolutely necessary on a 50 year old vintage radio. I usually find a few of these caps bad or with high ESR readings indicating already failed.Check dial calibration and operation on all bands. Precision signal generator used. Adjust as required.Adjust the FM and AM IFs with a sweep generator.All controls, slide switches, transistor sockets and band switch cleaned with DeOxit contact cleaner. No scratchy volume control.Lubricate tuning shaft.Verified operation on all bands for sensitivity. All controls and functions verified.
