Description: For sale. A Vito Model 35 Leblanc system alto saxophone. This style of saxophone was manufactured for the American market by the Leblanc company in the late 1950s and 1960s. This particular horn was most likely produced/imported around 1968. Leblanc system saxophones are described in a several ways - a system "Rationale," "Semi-Rationale," or simply "Leblanc-system," all describing the same mechanism, which through various linkage arms, allows for 20+ fingering options in addition to almost all the standard saxophone fingerings. The Vito models were simplified versions of the Leblanc 100 model, which added adjustment screws to make regulation slightly easier. This particular saxophone is keyed to high F# (the F# key is on the left hand palm key cluster). The lacquer on this instrument is ~98% pristine condition, and the pads all appear to be original. It has been serviced and the mechanism is now nearly silent, and there are no leaks. The case is not in perfect condition (it probably is not the original case) but the instrument does come with the original Vito mouthpiece and neck strap.
