Description: Here we have a darling 1954 Vogue Painted Lash Walker Ginny doll in near mint condition with blue sleep eyes that work on their own to sleep but need an occasional tap to her feet to re-open, light auburn painted eyelashes and eyebrows. Ginny retains her original brunette wig styled in luxurious twisty braids with thick, curly bangs. Her original wig is soft and in the original set. She has a sweet expression, highly blushed cheeks with no scuffs and a rosebud red mouth. Ginny's walking mechanism works correctly to smoothly turn her head side to side as you walk her legs. She has all her fingers, no stains, split seams, cracks or odors, and her arms hold all poses. She is correctly marked on her back "Ginny, Vogue Dolls Inc. Patent Pend." which indicates she was made in exactly 1954. Ginny comes to you wearing a newly made, tagged "Yesterdolls" creation of pristine white waffle-weave cotton with red daisy trim at the hem and a red velvet waist tie. The dress closes in back with the original hook and eye closure and the velvet waist tie. Beneath the dress she wears the matching white waffle-weave bloomers with tight elastic, white cotton socks and red "Ginny" marked Mary Jane shoes with working knob closures. She carries a vintage 1950's red purse and a pair of white gloves tucked into the purse. This outfit is similar to the 1952 "Margie" dress which came in many pastel colors but is newly made of vintage materials.
