Description: Offered is this vintage necklace of cultured pearls, made in Japan by the Maruwa Pearl Co. Each pearl is approx. 6mm in diameter and there are 53 pearls on the string. The pearls have a silver clasp with a smaller pearl attached to one side; the back is marked "silver". The original hard plastic hinged box is included. I don't know how old these are but at a guess they probably date to the 1960s-1970s. The strand is approx. 16" long without the clasp. The strand is in very good condition; I see no damage. The clasp works well but it was a bit tricky for me to figure out at first. The box has no damage and opens and closes well. Please take a moment to look at some of the other items in my eBay store!
