VTG 2003-2004 Rockshox Boxxer DH Race Triple Crown Fork

Description: VTG 2003-2004 Rockshox Boxxer DH Race Triple Crown Fork 32mm stanchions 1-1/8" straight steerer ~198mm length, has star nut installed 20mm thru axle, requires Boxxer specific caliper adapter For 26 inch wheels, up to 2.5" Stock 2x yellow coils, recommended for 150-180lb riders, with 1 preload spacer each side The Race model has internal travel adjust (full service required to change) This specific fork has a small place in internet bike history, as it was used on the original Cannondale "Uber V" mod build that went viral. Condition Description:Very good cosmetic condition for its age. It sat around for about a decade without any use because of the cosmetic defects of the factory finish on the stanchions, then saw very infrequent use for a few years, and then sat unused again. Stanchions have a few not particularly severe scratches and dings, but all burrs have been knocked down to prevent damage to seals/bushings. It hasn't been used more than a few dozen hours since its last full service, but seems a bit too firm and maybe short on travel, so it may have too much oil or some other mistake made in service limiting performance. One of the foot bolt holes was stripped, but has been retapped a size up. The hex of one side of the axle caps is stripped. The hex of one of the crown bolts is a bit rounded about halfway down but there's enough purchase with full insertion that achieving the recommended torque should be no problem. It is missing the rebound adjust knob. The bumpers have been trimmed down and have a fair bit of cracking such that they may break and fall off soon. Advantages we offer: People first attitude!
