Description: Vintage Lardy Cavalier Chess Set Lacquered Boxwood 3-1/4” King with Original cardboard Case with carboard linen board. Very nice, rare vintage Chess Set imported in the 1970s from France into the United States and sold by Pacific Game Company. Complete set 32 pieces with original box, board and paperwork! The box even has its original tissue paper inside used for packaging back in the 70's Pieces are made of wood, boxwood and black painted lacquered boxwood. Pieces are in like new condition, no hairline cracks, chips or repairs, just some minor wear from storage. (Please see photos for condition) King height 3 1/4 inches, pieces are weighted and felted, felts in great condition, like new, clean. The cardboard linen board is in great shape, clean. Dimensions 14.5"x14.5 " with 1 .75" squares.
