This was one of those "OOPS" moments when we realized we ordered the wrong size after we cut and flipped the mat! The wire and mat are FINE... You make a cut and flip it over to run the second course next to the first piece. We ended up buying a new mat the size we should have ordered. NO THERMOSTAT we used it on the new mat. I showed the receipt with the model number of the thermostat we ordered UDG4-4999. The mat is 45 sqft which is 27' long and 20" wide. Still listed on their web site for $259This is the version for tile. The mat has sticky tape on both sides. Once you lay it down, you then remove the sticky tape and then stick it down. Then take your tile mastic and trowel over a thin layer to stick it to the floor. Then you tile over it. Make sure you put the temperature thermostat in the correct spot (You can find directions online or contact the company) You can also go to their web site and order the thermostat of choice. IMPORTANT. Make sure you have the thermostat wires installed prior to the skim coat because one of the thermostat wires needs to run into the mat to tell the thermostat what temperature the floor is at.Do not forger when you take your measurements - DO NOT include any measurements under any cabinets, under toilets. You should be approximately 6" from the wall. Just measure your space. Their web site gives all of the details on how to figure out your space. and how to install this mat. Please refer to that and not what I say. Remember I ordered the wrong mat :) Oh, the installation monitor cable checker is included and you connect that during the process to make sure the wire is never compromised.Shipping: The item will be packed well and shipped in a shipping box and not just brown paper wrapped.
