Description: NOT A PRINT---Circa 1970 watercolor painting of Notre Dame and the Seine River in central Paris, titled at bottom margin in pencil "Paris--La Seine au Pont Saint Michel", signed at lower left by listed French artist Pierre Eugene Cambier (1914-2000). The work measures 9" by 12 1/2" (16" by 20" framed). Cambier first exhibited at the Salon des Independants in 1948 and in the second half of the century was a noted watercolorist in Paris. This is a typical example of his work. Mat has damp stain at bottom and will need to be replaced, and the old style non-glare glass should also be discarded as it dulls detail. Sure to please the committed Francophile.
