Description: For auction is a very nice planter made by The Weller Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The tray is from Weller's highly collected and very desirable "Patricia" line of art pottery. The item is a small planter or dresser pin tray. The piece is a nice cabinet size as it measures 4 3/8" wide, 2 5/8" deep and 2 9/16" tall to the top of the duck's beak. The tray displays an oval shape with a well to hold pins or pocket change. It is further decorated with a Duck's head and its beak opens as if it is quacking. It simulates a Duck floating. The glaze is a beautiful green to blue mottled glaze that is not that commonly found. Solid glaze ones sell for less and the nicely glazed ones bring more money to the collectors. The tray is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. The planter is signed with the "Weller" script signature on the underside bottom. This pattern is well documented in the Weller catalog and reference books under the Patricia line and it is referenced as a "Planter".Those of you who collect Patricia and are looking to add an adorable excellent to outstanding example to their collection do not let this one slip by. This is an excellent example of this form and glaze. This vase was made circa 1931-1935. PLEASE READ BELOWI want to apologize for slowing down my shipping time. Ebay forced me into managed payments in July 2020. I used to get my money in 24 hours. I now get it in 3-4 business days. I was told it would be better for me and my fees would go down. This has been the opposite as my fees have actually increased and now it takes longer for me to receive the payments. Because of this slowdown I will not ship until the payment has made it into my bank account. No store lets you out of the building with the merchandise unless it is paid for. They are also now charging all sellers a commission of 12.35% on sales tax. Pay Pal used to charge 2.9% payment processing fee but Ebay has changed this to 12.35%. This is an increase of 9.45% on the sales tax portion. They are now making a profit on the sales tax and treating it as a sale which in my eyes is wrong!! They did the same on the shipping charges several years ago. They use to not charge anything and now they are charging 12.35% commission on shipping as well. This has raised the cost to ship items to you, the buyer and this is factored into my shipping charges. If you feel what Ebay is doing is wrong or you don't agree them please contact Ebay and voice your opinion. Maybe if enough of you do this, they will change their policy. CLICK ON THIS LINK BELOW TO SEE MY EBAY STORE CLEMENTS ANTIQUES OF NEW HAMPSHIRE STOREFRONT Please wait for my Invoice before paying.
