The buckle will become unhooked when pressure is applied. Because the collar is constructed with 2 D rings, you can use a leash with the collar to take your dog for a walk. You must attach the leash to BOTH D rings to keep the buckle from becoming unsnapped. If you only attach the leash to one D ring, the buckle will unsnap. Please note that because this collar is constructed with a break away buckle, the collar can become unsnapped if your dog plays with other dogs, rolls around, scratches the collar with their foot, etc. This is not a defect and is to be expected with this type of collar. Collar is triple reinforced in all stress points. Our collars are lightweight & sturdy. Care is also easy! Machine or hand wash, lay flat to dry. No Bleach! Please measure your dog’s neck before ordering. Using a measuring tape, measure where you would like the collar to lay. When measuring, the tape measure should be snug, but not tight.
