Description: Selling this VINTAGE White Mountain 2 (TWO) Quart HAND CRANK Ice Cream Freezer. This is a COMPLETE SYSTEM and it's ready to go. The unpainted wooden bucket is approx. 10-9/16" tall x 8-5/8" dia. at the top (excluding metal brackets and handle). The canister is metal and the canister lid appears to be cast iron. This unit does NOT come with the Original Box, or recipe book / instruction manual. However, I will include a complete black & white 13-page copy of White Mountain's latest and most comprehensive "Appalachian Series" Owner's Manual & Recipe Guide with this purchase. This wonderful piece of literature is full of history, recipes and operating instructions - pictured below. I believe this is one of the more desirable Canisters / Dasher sets. The underside of the canister lid is marked No. 2U3, and the dasher is marked No. 2-38A25. Underside of the crank mechanism appears to be marked MADE IN USA 2-64WM1. I hate to part with this cute little machine, but I really don't have a good place to store and/or display it. I'm sure you will be able to display it properly and appreciate it more than it would be appreciated in my home. I believe these two-quart hand crank units are more uncommon and hard to find especially in excellent condition, so this may be your first and only chance to own a great one! As you probably know by now White Mountain no longer markets these American legendary Old Fashioned Ice Cream Makers. Therefore, the demand has gone through the roof for these units that have long been recognized as the highest quality system since 1853. The performance of TRIPLE-MOTION dasher system is second to none. Be sure to buy one while they're still available! CONDITION: I consider this machine to be EXCELLENT overall condition especially considering the age. The metal bracket & latch have minimal rust. The metal carrier & wooden handle are still in excellent condition. The crank mechanism is in excellent working condition with minor overall wear from minimal use. There are the typical scratches, scuffs, dings, dents, stains, chips & wood losses to the wooden bucket, however this bucket is in amazing overall condition - I cleaned the bucket with soap & water and then applied vegetable oil to restore the natural wood appearance. There is exterior rust, some tarnishing, scratches, and a few dings to the canister as expected. The wood bucket retains the original paper advertising label. The label is approx. 95% complete, and has typical wear as wood be expected, but it still displays nicely. The wooden dasher blades /scrapers look good - no splits or breaks that I could see but there is some very minor wear to the edges of the scrapers as would be expected. The raised steel TUB CENTER piece on the bottom inside of the bucket has typical rust but I expect it will last for many more years. The steel outside retainer rings show typical rust but they're still solid and will last for many more years of use as well.
