Description: Russian White Movement 1917-1922 RUSSIAN Civil WAR 1917-1922 Commemorative Jeton of the Camp "KELLERBERG" 1945 The Russian Corps was organized in German-occupied Yugoslavia in September 1941. Its initiator was General M. F. Skorodumov, who was soon replaced by General B. A. Shteifon, who commanded the Corps until his death in April 1945. According to the plan, the Russian corps was supposed to fight against the Red Army, but until the autumn of 1944, by decision of the German authorities, it only carried out security tasks and fought against Tito's red partisans. From 1945 to 1900 from 1941 to 1945, 17,090 people passed through the corps. The overwhelming majority of Russian immigrants from Yugoslavia and Bulgaria served in the Russian corps, among them there were many Gallipoli veterans. On May 12, 1945, the corps surrendered to British troops in Austria. Almost all of its ranks, about 4,500 people, were not Soviet citizens and were not subject to extradition to the Soviet authorities under the Yalta agreements. In October 1945, the corps under the command of Colonel A. I. Rogozhin was placed in the KELLERBERG camp, not far from the Austrian city of VILLACH. The last camp inmates left KELLERBERG only in 1952. Material: Silvered bronze, mini silver chain collars hot enamel.
