It is preowned and in acceptable condition for the right person. It has a Takahashi style, however, it is not as detailed, but is in a similar and more affordable style. This pin features a teeny bird that resembles somewhat of a wren or a sparrow bird. It is made of carved wood, hand painted and has a shiny, glazed finish. The bird stands on a small branch and has twisted wire legs that wrap around the small branch. The pin has a simple closure on the back with a modern rolling C clasp. The lock, pin, hinge and clasp are in working order. This pin measures approximately 1" long x 1 & 3/8" wide. Conditional issues are crazing to the glaze finish in many areas, a few chips, some rubbing with missing or rubbed off paint, along with surface scratching and metal wear. It is a pretty pin for anyone who loves birds, nature, the outdoors and gardening. It is a perfect pin for warmer weather months and a fun pin to brighten up any jacket lapel.
