WRIGHT BROTHERS MODEL AB TRANSITION PLANE Stereoview MILITARY Trials? 1910 1911

Description: A late 1910 to early 1911 stereoview photo set of the experimental model AB plane sitting on the field while another is flying directly over it. I love how they captured this image just right. You can see that only one person is on the plane in the air. This looks to be on a military training area as in the far background there is what looks like a deck of a military ship with deck guns as shown in one of my photos. I have searched all over and can not find another Wright brothers photo of this same image. This is not made by one of the large companies and is therefore not stamped with a photographers name. This plane is most likely the model AB transitional plane as it still has the semi-circle blinkers on the front braces and is fitted with front and back elevators mounts and has 2 seats. The elevator is not on front of either of the 2 planes in stereoview but brackets are still there. Measures 7 inches by 3 1/2 inches. If you knew where the military had a training ground with a mock ship deck like shown it should be easy to pinpoint an exact date this photo was taken in 1910 and where, based on his known schedule of events that year. Rare chance to own a type 1 OOAK Wright Brothers photo from some of the most important years in their airplane making careers. Excellent condition with a slight curl as shown. I have more from this same grouping that were all together and it looks as though some photographer may have followed Orville and the planes for a spell during these couple years.
