Description: You are bidding on a truly excellent example of a US military Issue M1912 holster for the M1911 pistol from the First World War. This russet/saddle brown leather holster was manufactured by G&K (Graton & Knight Manufacturing Co., Worcester, Massachusetts) in 1918 and inspected by A.G. for acceptance into the US military. The holster retains its original leather tie down thong as shipped from the factory. The only thing that makes me think this holster was ever issued is the presence of two black ink stamped numbers, one which seems to be "090" or maybe "060", which seems like a rack number, and another four digit number, very hard to see the first digit under magnification, but seems to be "8553", which may be part of a service number or a laundry number. Please look closely at the photos and ask any questions before bidding. You will not find another M1912 holster this nice without paying a substantial amount more than I am asking. Good luck! Buyer pays shipping via USPS Priority mail. Payment expected within 3 days of winning the auction.
