WW2 US Navy 1940s Shawl Collar Denim Work Jacket Named World War II Blue Jean

Description: ITEM: Original World War II United States Navy denim work coat shawl with metal loop back buttons and (2) pockets. Soldier's writing/initials DSM written in ink on the top inside of the back, along with a military letter stencil. From the estate of WW2 veteran D S McGee who was in the Navy Coast Guard and under the direction/service of the United States Navy during WW2. He was stationed at Mare Island before being transferred to Kodiak Naval Air Station in Kodiak, Alaska shortly after the War began. SIZE: Approximately 19" across the underarms, 25" tall and 32" from back center of collar over the shoulder and down the arm to the end of the sleeve. Weighs 1 lb 6 oz before packagingCONDITION: Free of holes, rips or repairs with some discoloration spots as pictured. Letters and soldier's initials hand written in ink by the previous owner while in the service on the inside back. Ink shows through to the back of the jacket, as pictured. Inside of back has stenciled letters, as well. Back of button removable metal loops are replacements. Any color variations in my pictures are from lighting.
