Description: Offered here is a fresh-to-market, WWII era pocket lighter, never used, still in its original box and with its original care instructions pamphlet. The three-barrel hinge, and 14 hole insert dates it between the later war years 1943-1945. The lighter is in low excellent condition and the wick has never been burned. The case has all of its original paint. One edge looks like the crinkle paint went on without crinkling, but it has never been repainted, and, I think, scarcely ever been out of the box. (see photos) I only discovered the brochure when taking the photos of the box. It was folded up and stuck at the bottom, wrapped around the underside of the lighter. There is some minor oxidation and very light surface rust on the steel insert, but it is strictly from having been stored for so many years. The box is complete, with the exception of one of the two side flaps at the top end. There is faint red ink writing at the top of the box, which is hard to see. (see all photos). I have put a buy-it-now price less than any other similar examples I could find online. First one I have owned. Buyer to pay USPS ground advantage shipping and insurance. (8.00) Three-day inspection/return on all items I offer, if not as described.
