Description: WWII Era US Army Cavalry Officer's "Three Buckle" Boots - Size 8.5D - Dated 1941 - NICE Condition Up for sale is a WWII Era US Army Cavalry Officer's "Three Buckle" Boots. These were the last of the full length high boots used by the US Army. They were issued to the Cavalry in 1940 and replaced the M1931 Full Laced Boots. These boots were mostly worn by Officer's through the end of the war. General Patton worn these style boots throughout the war. The leather uppers are still soft and supple. There are some minor surface crack, but no crazing of the leather. The buckles are in good working order. The heels are worn, but still have a lot of life left in them. The leather soles have the normal wear and scuffing, but no holes or wear through. The ink stamp markings are present but are difficult to read. The have what appears to be a 1941 date.
