Description: WWII U.S. Army Signal Corps Chest wood vintage CH-53-A case w compartments heavy I am helping my stepmother to downsize into a senior apartment, and she has some very cool vintage items that will not fit in her new place. This wooden chest measures about 18 inches wide x 10 inches tall x 10.5 inches deep. All hardware is present and intact and works smoothly. There is one large open compartment in the front half, which looks like it was once divided in half. There are 2 separate compartments in the back, each of which has a latching lid. The plaque on the top identifying the part number and the U.S. Army Signal Corps has scratching and corrosion, but is still mostly legible from the right angle. It says:"Signal Corps U.S. ArmyChest CH-53-A"Then there is a serial number plaque, then what looks like: "CZI 28200-PHILA" The trunk has writing, scratching and general wear. All of this add to its appeal and make it special. It is also very heavy. I will ship it in an outer box. Own this piece of WWII memorabilia or give it as a special gift.
