Description: This is a nice World War II Officer’s Marine Corps dress blue uniform. Features a nice matching set of sterling EGAs. Sterling LT Bars and a rare full size Sterling Pilot wings. Jacket is in very good condition. no visible moth holes. Named to G.J. Smith (1st LT Giles James Smith Jr). information I found online is that he was killed May 1st 1944 Rabaul, Papa New Guinea (VMF-114) he was posthumously awarded the Purple Heart and Air Medal. Trousers are in very good condition. All of the insignia are not “original” to the uniform, they were carefully selected to restore the uniform to be as it would have been, as the originals we’re missing. All genuine WWII insignia.
