If you are not familiar with oil change procedure see note below. *NOTE* According to Yamaha the oil change procedure is as follows: For engine oil….- Remove the rear cover, start engine let it idle for 2 minutes.- Remove dipstick, oil filler cap, 1 oil tank drain bolt and washer, 2 engine drain bolts and gaskets.- Remove right rear mudguard and oil filter.- Install drain bolts, gaskets, and oil filter.- Pour 2.5 Qts oil into oil tank, start engine and let it idle 2 mins, shut off engine and wait 10 mins.- Add remainder of oil to tank. To check oil level warm engine, let it idle 30 seconds, shut it off and wait 2 mins, check level on dipstick ( do not screw it in)For Transmission oil….Remove passenger seat cushion, lift up passenger seat belt buckle rubber cover, remove trans dipstick, remove drain bolt and gasket, install bolt and gasket, refill with SxS Gear oil and check level on dipstick.For Front and Rear differentials…remove drain bolts and gaskets, install drain bolts and gaskets, clean dirt away from oil fill bolts, add specified amount of Shaft drive oil.
