Most modern Yealink T2, T3, T4, and T5 series phones can be factory reset by holding the OK button for a few seconds and confirming reset. Holding the volume button while powering on the device will also force a hard reset. Some VoIP service providers, however, embed instructions into the configuration to automatically enroll the phone and reapply their modified firmware, locking you out of its interface so you cannot reconfigure the phone. There are ways to isolate the device so it cannot automatically enroll and force your desired configuration. However, if inadvertently reset, the phone can automatically fall back to this old configuration. This service completely removes the old configuration, disassociates the device with the VoIP provider and restores the latest available Yealink default firmware. Now the phone can be properly enrolled with your new provider. How does it work? The phone must have outbound access to the Internet. This process will require that you physically reboot the phone once after we configure our end. We will then disassociate it with the old vendor and reinstall Yealink's default firmware. We can typically unlock a phone in a few minutes once we have the required information and instruct you to power cycle the phone. Is it secure? We use an official Yealink management portal to perform this service. When you have full control of your device it is more secure than it was before, but know that the MAC and Machine ID are effectively static keys. We can exchange this information however you deem appropriate. We've unlocked hundreds of phones and delete all information after every unlock sequence.
