These trips are documented by high quality 2" x 3" photos which were taken from the zeppelin while in flight. These photos were cigarette pack "give-aways" with the purchase of the cigarettes, 3 or 6 per purchase. This is a very rare book, both for its history of the German zeppelin and for cigarette card association. We are also advertising another zeppelin item - take a look. condition: This is a 13 1/2" x 9 1/2" soft cover book, the cover being a light flexible card stock. All of the edges show slight nicks. The front corners both have a small bend. The first few pages are printed on what appears to be 40 pound news print and those pages are slightly discolored.There is a gold embossed dedication (faulty translation: During the World War the Kaiser lost the following airships ... with these ships fell the leader of the Navy ships frigates Captain Peter Strasser)There are 146? photos/cards present, missing perhaps 5 or 6? The pages with photos are all in excellent condition. All in all a rare book on two counts, photo cards and zeppelins.
